About Me

About Me

My name is Greta Jennison and I am currently attending the University of New England to study athletic training in a three plus two masters program. I was raised in a tiny rural town in Vermont where there are more cows than people and the majority of the town is dirt roads. Growing up I danced at the Vermont Ballet Theater but my interests changed when I started seventh grade and my life started revolving around field hockey. I now play division 3 field hockey at UNE and just completed my freshman season. I have always had an interest in the medical field and knew that I would choose a major in that realm but it wasn’t until I started my internship with the athletic trainer at my school that I realized I could combine a medical profession with my love of sports. I worked with the AT at my high school for three years and accumulated over 300 hours of clinical athletic training experience. From the second field hockey season was over you could often find me assisting in the AT room or filling ice bags on a sideline. This internship became a massive part of my life and was an excellent experience for me. I am now finishing up my first semester of college and loving my major, my sport, and my environment.
